I’ve helped students, scientists, and engineers plan, draft, and polish dissertations,
manuals, technical reports, journal articles, and theses at such places
as the University of Michigan, IBM’s
Thomas J. Watson Research Center, and a subsidiary of IBM Japan. For details,
see my résumé.
An editor can do more than you might think to improve a piece of writing. For
my beliefs on that subject, see How an editor
contributes. See also the examples of my
writing and editing.
I like what I do.
I like working with people who have a lot to say but have trouble saying it.
I like working with people who have learned English as a second language; and
in nearly four years of living in Japan and editing materials written in
English by Japanese people, I’ve had a lot of experience in such editing.
I take great pride in my work. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than to
hear an author say,
“Why didn’t I write it that way? That’s just what I meant!”
If you could use this kind of help . . . .
If your terrific work languishes unpublished . . . .
If you just wish your writing sounded better . . . .
Talk to me!
